Universal Thread


An in-store embroidery workshop to launch an inclusive clothing line at Target stores across the nation






Universal Thread is a line of denim from Target with an emphasis on inclusive sizes that are “true to you.”

While I was a Senior Designer at Grow Marketing, our team was brought in by Target to develop an in-store experience to promote the launch of Universal Thread at stores across the nation.

Inspired by the name of the line, we carried the theme of thread to the activation with an embroidery workshop offering free personalization to drive purchases. As the design lead, I developed the set around “true” materials - with custom signage crafted from cloth, wood, leather, and brass and furniture pieces in a clean but industrial style.

Also in support of the launch, I designed on-trend embroidered patches to incentivize people to try on pieces and mirror decals to encourage social sharing.
