Grid-based design for an independent magazine
SOMA is one of the longest running independent magazine’s in the nation covering art, fashion, and culture.
I designed page layouts and selecting editorial images for inclusion in the monthly magazine.
SOMA's brand is clean and minimal. The magazine utilizes streamlined layouts and clean typography to feature content from diverse topics with maximum white space. I adhered to these intentions but also strived to create dynamic page layouts within the standard 12-column grid.
