Cat Says Meow is a picture book that features whimsical, elegant, and boldly graphic type-based illustrations.
In collaboration with the author, I developed a layout that played with scale, cropping, repetition, and sequencing to create a narrative with "conversations" between the animals.
In contrast to the minimalism of the book, I developed colorful endsheets by combining all the animal illustrations into one all-over pattern.
